L’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet is located on the Outaouais River. To get to the island you must cross Monseigneur Martel bridge located on the West side of Bryson on route 148. The municipality is part of the MRC du Pontiac in the Outaouais region. The island is about 20 kilometers long by 7 kilometers wide. The territory is mostly occupied by agricultural farms, a Hop field and maple groves. The island is a leisure place where you can also practice fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobile, snowshoe, VTT and so forth.

A beautiful beach called Côte Jaune, a boat ramp and a municipal wharf are also found on the island.

The island bordering the Whitewater Region with some of the roughest sections on the Outaouais River is popular with kayakers and rafters. Whitewater rafting companies take adventurers down the Rocher Fendu Rapids, known as the best whitewater rapids in North America. Some international competitions are held in those rapids.

L’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet is a wonderful and peaceful place to live for the beauty of nature or to practice the sport of your choice.
